Disinfection Systems

Disinfection Methods

LCB Worldwide uses chemical and physical disinfection methods as standalone or in combination. Modern disinfection technology has three fundamental objectives: to eliminate the maximum number and variety of pathogens; second, to be safe for humans; third, to ensure animal contact and have as minimal environmental impact as possible. At LCB Worldwide, we carefully select the methods we use for disinfection. Our objective is to destroy the cell wall of microbes or to interfere with their metabolism to inactivate the pathogens. These two methods and their combinations will be used to eliminate the pathogens.

  • Fogging Systems

The disinfection utility cabin harnesses high-pressure water pumps to distribute disinfectant via corrosion-resistant hoses within disinfection tunnels or chambers. The delivered disinfectant is transformed into a fine mist, ensuring uniform exposure across the target area. The mist carries approved, non-toxic disinfectants that thwart pathogen proliferation.

  • UV Systems

Ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI) is a disinfection method that uses short-wavelength ultraviolet (U.V. -C) light. U.V-C kills or inactivates microorganisms by destroying nucleic acids and disrupting their DNA, preventing them from performing vital cellular functions. Ultra-Violet Germicidal Irradiation is used in various applications, covering areas such as food, air, and water purification.

  • Chemical Disinfection Systems

There are three levels of disinfection: high, intermediate, and low. The high-level disinfection (HLD) process kills all vegetative microorganisms, mycobacteria, lipid and nonlipid viruses, fungal spores, and some bacterial spores. Intermediate-level disinfection kills mycobacteria, most viruses, and bacteria and is registered by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as a “tuberculocidal.” Low-level disinfection kills some viruses and bacteria.

Modern disinfection technology has three fundamental objectives; to ensure that the maximum number and variety of pathogens are eliminated, to be safe for human and animal contact and to have as minimal impact on the environment as possible. At LCB Worldwide, we carefully select our chemical agents to meet the fundamental objectives.
